The spatial thinking process of the field-dependent students in reconstructing the geometrical concept

<p><span lang="EN-US">Reconstructing geometrical concepts requires a spatial thinking process, so the process will be correct and complete. The phenomena of cognitive style differences cause different perceptions activities to solve geometric problems. This qualitative-explorative research describes students with field-dependent styles in reconstructing concept geometry based on theory Action-Process-Object-Schema (APOS). subjects were 27 obtained five styles. researchers used purposive sampling technique from certain consideration. selected student that met three elements indicators ability. collected data interviews, documentation, group embedded figure test (GEFT). analyzing techniques collection, reduction, presentation, concluding. had category indications: i) Inaccuracy representational thinking; ii) inaccuracy perception indicators; iii) Not using de-encapsulation mental mechanisms.</span></p>
